The Universal Remote app transforms your cell phone or tablet into a highly versatile control device. With mRemote, you can effortlessly control multiple devices such as your TV, cable box, DVD player, and stereo amplifier.

What do you need to get started?

A phone or tablet with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities.
A mRemote Transmitter, which is available for purchase separately.
Installation of the Universal Remote app (UniversalRemote.apk).
Select a device from the provided list or even learn the IR remote settings.

The Universal Remote app requires the support of the mRemote Transmitter. This transmitter acts as a Wi-Fi receiver, allowing it to receive IR codes from your phone or tablet and transmit infrared signals to your TV, cable box, DVD player, amplifier, and more.
